On a crisp and beautiful fall morning, I walked down to Greektown with some building residents to go cheer Chicago Marathoners at the half point mark. I’ve seen marathons on TV but this was my first time watching the race in person and it was truly an incredible and inspirational event to watch. Watching thousands upon thousands of runners pass the 13.1 mile marker and determined to finish the second half as strong was beyond amazing. The marathon included men and women of all ages, backgrounds in unique outfits representing over 100 countries!
PS – I am not a runner but yesterday inspired me to start small…with a 5k this weekend to help with a great cause to learn more about the organization and help me raise funds (https://www.firstgiving.com/fundraiser/JessicaTeji/strideagainstviolence2013)!
